I spent quite a bit of time on this next card, as I made all the background papers from scratch and most of the embellies…I had to really rack my brains and kick it hard into gear!! It was really difficult to decide how and what I could do but once the juices finally got going, I was on a roll and probably went a bit OTT…lol!!
I went for a vintage feel and used distress inks, embossing powders and heat gun for the brown and blue background papers to match the inside with the outside. I inked up a flourish stamp and an Ivy stamp.
Even made a pair of amber heart earrings and the scalloped circle from the same handmade background paper as the flowers.
Got crazy with the shrink plastic (made LOADS so plenty for my future cards lol!!) and created the lock and hinge which I hand stitched to the card. Shrink plastic is just the best fun isn’t it…I love it!!! Didn’t want to stop…used the Tim Hotlz dies for those, very pretty and inked with gold alcohol ink. Used the love border to create the background for Lady Tilda and Sherwood Edwin and made the little blue flowers, using alcohol inks, a music sheet embossing folder and a flower punch. Tilda & Edwin were coloured with Prisma pencils and blended. Oh and just added some cotton lace and gems that I did not make unfortunately. Made a box to compliment the card too. I am entering this card into the following challenges:
