Sentimental Sundays Challenge #66 Garden Party

Good afternoon to my lovely peeps!

Hope you have enjoyed your weekend so far! Just a quick post today as there is so much to do with only a mini amount of time...LOL!

The theme for this week's Sentimental Sundays Challenge #66 is 'Garden Party'
also includes a sentiment...

Tilda has been a very busy girl...weeding and planting up her bedding flowers in preperation for her 'Garden Party' to enjoy and celebrate the wonderful summer sun we have had of late (and may it continue!)...

The flowers and and ribbon made from seam binding are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the digi sentiment is from Cuddley Buddley...

Used a Kanban leave stamp with green ink to stamp around the edges and Tilda's piccy, which has been coloured with Prisma Pencils and blended with Sansador...

The 'metal' corner is an adhesive paper lace, which has been embossed with gold powder and wooden butterfly are from my stash...

What conjures up a 'Garden Party' for you? Can't wait to see all your creations to see what you come up with and there is also the other DT girlies inspiration to boost your creativity too!

I hope you have enjoyed your visit and I hope you will join me again on 1st August for an amazing Whimsy Stamps Blog Hop for their new releases and prizes to be won...there may be a couple of sneeky peeks too...?... :)

Thank you so much for visiting and leaving your comments! It really makes my day special!!

Anything Goes Challenge #46 Pick of the Bunch - Flowers

Good afternoon lovely peeps...and what a beautiful day it is too...

Perfect for the card I have made for the Anything Goes Challenge #46 Pick of the Bunch - Flowers! sponsered by the Craft Den

It has been a very hectic time for me at the moment and I am a little late in posting my card but there is still oodles of time to join in our FLOWERY two week challenge! I really enjoyed making this card, as it always great to be able to load your card up with flowers and this challlenge makes that the perfect excuse to use them, the more the better!! :)

So, here we go with the inspiration...the sun was shining, so I took the photo outside and it really makes the card sparkle but also casts a few shadows too...

Well, there are flowers galore! I've used Magnolia Roses backing paper which has been layered on to cardstock which has been distressed around the edges with Brushed Corduroy, I also used Rangers White Dabber paint and a Joanna Sheen Ivy pattern stamp and embossed with gold around the edges...used the Magnolia Beautiful Tilda and coloured her with pink and brown Prisma pencils and blended with Sansador...

Added PLENTY of Stickles...LOL!

These flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts...

A heavily Stickled metal butterfly charm, which I bought on eBay... you can also see the gold embossed Ivy leaves too...

More beautiful flowers also Stickled and a pretty heart pin...

The digi sentiment is from Cuddley Buddley and I have used a stick glue around the edges and sprinkled with gold embossing powder and heated...

I hope you have enjoyed your visit and that I have inspired you to come and join us on the Anything Goes Challenge #46 Pick of the Bunch - Flowers which ends on Monday 8th August, there is also some incrediable inspiration too from our amazing DT girls, 2 guest designers and don't forget...

Candles & Tiles using Decal Papers...

Good morning lovely peeps...

Just a quick update before I go to work...

Well, it Friday again...HOORAH...and it's all happening at Teddy Bo Towers...catch up with all the gossip and latest news and releases from the bears...and join along with the latest Teddy Bo Tuesday Challenge #15 'Alter Something' for the next two weeks finishing at MIDNIGHT UK time on Sunday 7th August.

Here is my inspiration for you...using decal waterslide paper for inkjet printers, using the delightful bears...'Sugar Plum Fairy' Teddy Bo_112 & 'Your wish will come true' TeddyBea_116...

For the ‘ALTER SOMETHING’ Challenge I have used some left over tiles from a bathroom job I ‘helped with’ a while back and made some coasters inspired by Collette’s mug from ages ago :) Thanks Collette hun!! xx Check out Colette's fabby blog here for more stunning inspirationxx

Any hoo, I coloured in the 'ikle bears with Prisma pencils, scanned them and resized to print them out onto decal waterslide paper...

…then sprayed with clear acrylic spray paint to seal the images (smells just like nail varnish) so when immersed in water, the ink will not bleed. Soaked the transfers in water until the transparent film came away from the backing paper and careful dabbed them on to the tiles.

Also added some stamped hearts and then sealed again with the acrylic spray. On the back of the coasters, I added some sticky backed felt pads…Volia!!

I did the same for the tealights using 'Sunflower Bea' TeddyBea_114...once I had sprayed with acrylic spray and left to dry, I cut out the little circles, soaked them and then placed them carefully onto the tealights...simples!!

For more inspiration, please pop on over to the Teddy Bo Tuesday Challenge #15 'Alter Something' as Team B have some amazing projects to share with you.

Please remember to use any Teddy Bo & Co image for a chance to win the fabulous winner's prize...

Teddy Bo and Co are sponsoring this challenge and the overall winner gets to choose 10 GRAPHICS... and the runners up pick one image each.

So grab your old pots, lamps, candles, boxes or anything else you can think of and ALTER SOMETHING with a Teddy Bo & Co image and most of all... have some FUN!!!

Need some images to get you started or to add to your collection? Then there is a great selection and some new releases to be found here at the Teddy Bo Store...you will be spoilt for choice!!

Thank you so much for visiting and leaving your comments! It really makes my day special!!

Stunning NEW Images From Teddy Bo & Co...

Hello Peeps...hope you are having a lovely day so far. We have had so much rain these last 5 days, it is more like November than July!!

I now have a full time job and that has put pay to most of the crafting time and blogging time that I have left available but bit by bit, I am determined to get back on track, it is just a case of adjusting my schedule, getting organised...hahaha!!... but with any new job, the 1st month is a massive learning curve and can be quite draining with a mental overload...lol!!

However, I have scheduled this post and I am really hoping that Mr Blogger behaves and posted the links correctly!!

As you probably all know by now, I am a MASSIVE Teddy Bo fan and so excited to be on their team B design team...although it is not team B's go this fortnight, it is the amazing talent of team A and they have pulled all the stops out to create the most amazing creations for the challenge for the next two weeks...

Teddy Bo Challenge #14 Teddy Bea ONLY. That's right, only use a Teddy Bea image on your creations to be in for a chance to win!

Here are the amazing NEW RELEASES from Gayle at the Teddy Bo Towers:

Head on over to theTeddy Bo Challenge #14 Teddy Bea ONLY, where you can catch up on the latest gossip and happens, see the amazing DT creations and everything else you need to know about Teddy Bo and his Teddy Bea...

As I have previously mentioned... I love Teddy Bo and I created a card to give to a dear friend's little boy Adam...since then I have had a couple of requests to make some more personalised cards that now also include a name.

It gave me the idea to open up this concept card to the masses and if you are interested, I have a listing on ebay where I can personalise your card with any name, age or message...the link is here :) if you would be so inclined to visit :)

I hope to have some more cards to share with you soon, so until then do have a great week!

Teddy Bo 'Di-Bo-Saur' ...Another Easel Card

Hello Lovely Peeps...I hope you are all having a good day :)

Well, I never make easel cards and now I've done 2 in a row...there must be a third one somewhere around the corner...hehehe...

… I made this card for a friend’s little boy…Adam… I hope he will like it!! I know Adam loves to dress up and is fascinated by Dinos, so I’m on the right tracks at least!! I should have put his name on the card...how fab would that have been...but I didn't think of that at the time...doh!!!

I am totally in love with Teddy Bo…he is simply gorgeous and such a delight to colour too! The image I have used is Teddy Bo 020 ‘Di-Bo-Saur’ from Teddy Bo.com

He has been coloured with Prisma pencils and blended with Sansador. I also made a diddy Teddy Bo – ‘Di-Bo-Saur’ from shrink plastic…so very cute!

I used K & Co ‘Hop Scotch’ papers which are brill for boys cards, really fantastic colours that work so well with each other.

The Cuttlebug came out and I used the Swirls folder to emboss the layers and distressed the edges with Brushed Corduroy and used a nestie for the circles. I was very sparing with the Stickles but even little boys like a little bit of sparkle…lol...don't they? :)

The ‘Happy Birthday’ sentiment is from Magnolia and has also been embossed with clear emossing powder, I used a digi sentiment ‘Son’ from Cuddly Buddly, the word ‘Mischief’ is a rub-on and the rest of the phrases are computer generated…oh…and I used a bit of garden twine too.

Now... it just so happens to be a NEW RELEASE DAY here at Teddy Bo Towers and here they are - the fantastic new Teddy Bo & Teddy Bea images ready to order now!!

You can also join 'Team A' for the new fortnightly Teddy Bo Challenge #14 'Teddy Bea only'.
Come & play along in the challenge but only use any Teddy Bea image to be in for the chance to win!

I hope you have enjoyed your visit and I hope you will pop on over and visited 'Team A' DT's wonderful projects...they are really beautiful. And if you enter the challenge, you'll be in it to win some Teddy Bo's and Bea's for yourself...well worth the effort I think...don't you :)

Can't wait to see all your gorgeous cards and projects using 'Teddy Bea', I'm sure she will be as excited as we are!!

Thank you so much for visiting and leaving your comments! It really makes my day special!!

Sentimental Sundays Challenge #63 Inky Fingers...

Hello my Lovely Bloggers,

This week's Sentimental Sundays Challenge #63 is "Inky Fingers (unconventional stamping materials or techniques)... this is a fun challenge to do and you can get all inky and messy, it's great!!

Every week, there are FREE SENTIMENTS and this week, they are very sentimental as they were choosen by ME and Ann Vento has done a wonderful job with the graphics to bring them to life for you download straight away, so why not add them to your cards and projects and join our challenge :)

Sentimental Sundays Weekly Freebie:
Antoinette's Sentiments
Download Link
(available for one week only)
A special thank you to those who link back to the blog when using these sentiments!

Here are some more ideas to get you going...instead of stamps, use your paints or ink to create background papers or layers, use stencils, glimmer mists, or try stamping onto bottle tops, tissue paper, shrink plastic...or anything else you can think of...

Check out the rest of the DT's fabulous creative makes and pick up some great inspiration...

For my topper, I went for the resist technique, using clear embossing powder, a cupcake stamp, versamark pad and distress inks. Whatever colour card you use, will show through the clear embossing powder...I choose white card but you could go for something bolder like red or black etc. Once I have stamped the image and sprinkled with embossing powder, heated it, I then went over the card with 'Victorian Rose' distress ink, let it dry and then rubbed over with paper towel to reveal the white (clear) embossed images of the cupcakes... this is a great way to make your own unique 'one of a kind' backing paper.

For the base of the topper, I used the same technique but I used 'Worn Lipstick' distress powder, which when heated is quite rough, resembling sandpaper...I then went over the top with 'Brushed Corduroy' distress ink.

I coloured a 'Meljens Designs' digi image 'Patriotic Cupcake' from Whimsy Stamps and used my Dawn Bibby cupcake stamps onto shrink plastic and coloured to make those cute little cupcakes...I just LOVE shrink plastic!!

...And here's the sentiment, now go and have your cake and eat it...LOL... can't wait to see how creative your makes will be...

This challenge runs until next Saturday 16th July at 11.59 EST.

Thank you so much for visiting and leaving your comments! It really makes my day special!!
